What to pack for a road trip

You're cruising down the motorway on a glorious summer's day, headed to who knows where without a care in the world; of course, you are enjoying one of life's great pleasures. The road trip. Friends, fun and always something important you forgot to pack! Due to an impromptu last minute road trip, this is an inspired packing list for ultimate road trip awesomeness.
1. Flip Flops

These bad boys are just round the clock comfort on your feet and unless you're driving (if you're driving, wear some sensible ass shoes man) I'd say that these are definitely the desired road trip footwear.
2. Backpack

You need a trusty companion to hold all your stuff throughout the trip - your backpack is that faithful pal. This is actually my favourite and I literally take it everywhere.
3. Medicine

I do not care if you think your nasal spray makes you look uncool or whatever, you will regret not packing it when you are leaking out of your face. So if you are riddled with allergies, and other interesting defects like I am, pack your medicine. It's important and there might not be a pharmacy where you're going.
4. Make up

Packing make up does not make you vain, it makes you prepared. How many times have you asked your friend to borrow their mascara because you didn't pack yours? Now it's time for you to be that friend. Every one needs the occasional touch up.
5. Wipes

To wipe off said make up and other various grime that creeps onto your face. Be sure to stuff your backpack with both antibacterial and facial wipes as they genuinely always come in handy. No one likes sticky hands or a grimey face.
6. Swimwear and towel(s)

If you're road tripping to the beach like we are, clearly you need your swimwear! Plus I'd advise for multiple towels as someone else is bound to forget theirs and it's always nice to have a separate towels for drying off and lying on. Plus with the British weather you may suddenly need to use one as a jumper/umbrella.
7. Suncream

No one is too hard for suncream. Not even Danny Dyer is too hard for suncream. You will burn without it. It's really hard to rock the burnt lobster look without looking and feeling ridiculous. So save yourself some embarrassment and pack your suncream. Apply frequently. Also, some after sun will help maintain your tan for ultimate sun kissed-ness.
