Fake birthday: You only turn 21 twice

How lucky am I to have friends who treat me to a fake birthday before going our separate ways before summer!?
You see sassypanters, being summer born can often be a challenge, as at uni, I spend all year celebrating everyone else's birthdays and then before it gets to mine (August) everyone's like "SEE YA!" and scoots off home. So on more than one occasion a fair amount of my loved ones have been out of the country for my birthday, as August is inarguably one of the best months to get away.
BUT NOT TODAY.
I got a pre-21st with all of my faves. This is the biggest treat ever, as I love birthdays. Not even just my own, I love throwing people birthday surprises and buying them the perfect gifts and showering them with love. What a joy to be a recipient of that.
I was greeted in the morning with the tasty aroma of breakfast in bed, the delightfully continental combination of croissants and pancakes. Let me tell you, it was delicious. Nothing beats the comfort of eating breakfast in your slumberpatch. Then, throughout the day I was treated to a mystery trail of activities, adorned with the birthday sash (yay!) and tiara. We had hot chocolate at the faithful M&S, a picnic in the park and a perfectly pleasant stroll down by the riverside. When we arrived home I was told to get all fancy and spent a good few hours primping, getting ready and enjoying girly time with my favourite females. Dutifully I obliged, but I still had absolutely no clue where we were going - only to be driven all the way to my favourite restaurant, Las Iguanas.
BEST. DAY. EVER.
Enjoy some snaps that document a truly awesome fake birthday.
